Inspired by sculptures designed by Jorge Blanco an international sculptor, graphic designer, and illustrator known for his large public art sculptures, Lathrop has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a handcrafted jewelry collection to showcase Blanco’s designs-using gold, silver, diamonds, and precious stones to express her love for jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, rings, cuff links, tie pins and so much more. Lathrop learned from her artist grandmother how to express her creativity through art. She has been involved with Sarasota Trading Company and Sarasota Estate Auction as an exhibitor and gallerist for over 20 years. She joins her husband, Andrew Ford, at prestigious venues around the country. She has enlisted the help of Todd Alan, noted Sarasota jewelry artist, known for his hand-woven rings, to make this dream come true. Lathrop’s gallery experience led her to this new endeavor: to create elegant jewelry pieces to promote feelings of simplicity and happiness for all. Lathrop lives in Sarasota FL with husband, Andrew and son, Andrew, Jr.
